The Oconomowoc Area School District is pleased to announce six grant awards to classroom projects around the district, thanks to the generosity of the Imagine a Day Foundation. Nearly $25,000 was awarded to elementary, intermediate and high school classrooms and projects.

The Imagine A Day Foundation was created in memory of Courtney Bella, by her father, Brad Bella. At age 10, Courtney was tragically killed in an automobile accident by an intoxicated driver in April of 2008. “Courtney was a gifted and creative performer,” said Bella. “Courtney had an innate creative spirit and entertained those around her, whether it was with her pen, brush, instrument or dance.”  The name of the foundation was inspired by a poem Courtney wrote just weeks before her death.
