OHS AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CLASS IS MAKING REUSABLE GROCERY BAGS: AP Environmental Science students and teacher, Kelly Holtzman, are sewing reusable grocery bags on April 26, in celebration of Global Youth Service Day and the Boomerang Bags movement. These bags will be distributed in Oconomowoc for people to use, for free, instead of plastic bags. Students need help with donations to make this project possible. Visit the OASD website for more information then join these students in sewing reusable bags on Friday, April 26, from 7:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the OHS East Campus Board Room.
CHATFIELD INSTRUMENT RESTORATION CAMPAIGN: Oconomowoc High School is leading a campaign to restore four beautiful, handcrafted, vintage string instruments: two violins, a cello and a viola. These fine musical instruments were built by local musician Frank Chatfield, and donated to the school in the 1930's. The donated instruments were used by students for several decades until they fell into disrepair and were put into storage. In 2015, OHS launched a campaign to preserve these instruments and restore them to playing condition. Visit our website for more information on the campaign and to make a tax deductible donation to preserve these instruments.
