FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OCONOMOWOC, WI – April 18, 2019. The Oconomowoc Area School District is pleased to announce that Lisa Docter, a 4th-grade teacher at Meadow View Elementary, has been selected as a 2019 Herb Kohl Fellowship recipient. Mrs. Docter was chosen for this $6,000 grant because of her skill as a leader and agent for positive change in her classroom and school, and for her superior ability to inspire the love of learning. Meadow View Elementary will also receive a $6,000 grant.
Both Docter and Meadow View Elementary were recognized at a regional luncheon on Saturday, April 13, at Greendale High School, along with other recipients. The grant funds will be paid out this June.
Congratulations, Lisa from the Oconomowoc Area School District! Thank you for your dedication to our students.

About the Kohl Teacher Fellowship Program
The Kohl Teacher Fellowship program recognizes and supports teaching excellence and innovation in the State of Wisconsin. Their goal is to support teachers in the pursuit of their unrealized goals for their classrooms or professional development. This year, the Foundation increased its awards to 100 Wisconsin teachers to 6,000, and each Kohl Fellowship recipient's school will receive a matching $6,000 grant. Recipients' professional accomplishments are celebrated at a recognition luncheon in the spring. The applications of the public school Kohl fellowship recipients will automatically be used as the applicants for the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year program.
