Late afternoon, Friday, March 13, 2020, WI Governor Tony Evers directed the Department of Health Services (DHS) to issue a statewide closure of K-12 schools, public and private, as part of the state's efforts to respond to and contain the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin. This mandate was issued after the Oconomowoc Area School District (OASD) finalized District plans and communicated with staff and families. The District's communication stated that our closure would last until the end of spring break on March 29, however, this date has changed with the state mandate. The OASD will be closed until April 6, 2020. Additional follow-up communication to staff and families will include this date change. These are unprecedented times for our community, State and Nation. We are all in this together and we appreciate your patience as we work to communicate these updates as quickly as possible.
