REMINDER: NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, JANUARY 20: There is no school for all OASD students on Monday, January 20, while our OASD staff have a professional development day. School will resume on Tuesday, January 21.

4th GRADE FAMILIES – YOU'RE INVITED TO OUR 5^TH GRADE INFORMATION NIGHTS: 4th-Grade parents and guardians are invited to the Incoming 5th-Grade Information Nights at Silver Lake and Nature Hill Intermediate Schools. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the transition to Intermediate School, the daily schedule, and much more.

• Monday, January 20, 2020, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Silver Lake Cafeteria
• Wednesday, January 22, 2020, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Nature Hill Cafeteria.

4K/5K REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL JANUARY 24: 4K/5K registration is for all children starting 4K and for 5K families that are new to the OASD. If your child currently attends an OASD school for 4K, you do not need to register for 5K this month. You'll use the online registration process during the summer for the 2020-21 school year. Families should register their children at the OASD Elementary School they will attend. Families can register their children between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, from January 13-24, 2020, or during the special evening hours on Thursday, January 16, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Please note: January 20, 2020, is a PD Day in the OASD and school offices will be closed. COME TO THE 15TH ANNUAL JAZZ DANCE ON JANUARY 31ST: Help support our OASD Band Program and enjoy a night of great music at the 15^th Annual Jazz Dance. The bands from OHS, Silver Lake Intermediate, and Nature Hill Intermediate will perform and there will be dancing, silent auction, raffles, and Saz's food available for purchase. Tickets for sale in advance at Piggly Wiggly and Books & Company in Oconomowoc, or available online by clicking on this link. Sponsored by the OHS Band Aids.

GEORGIE KRENZ "BORN TO TEACH" MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Summit Elementary School has established the Georgie Krenz "Born to Teach" Memorial Scholarship. Anyone who knew Georgie knew that she was "Born to Teach," and she truly loved the teaching profession. She touched many lives in her 28 years at Summit Elementary School. The money raised through this scholarship fund will be awarded to a graduate of Oconomowoc High School pursuing a career in the education field. OHS Athletics

WATCH OHS BOYS & GIRLS HOME BASKETBALL GAMES LIVE ON YOUTUBE: You can watch all of the home OHS Basketball games livestreamed on YouTube by following this link.

BOYS BASKETBALL: The varsity team traveled to Watertown on January 14, and brought home a 72-49 win.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The varsity team hosted Arrowhead on January 10, a grabbed a 60-53 win, bringing their winning streak to nine games.

GYMNASTICS: The team headed to Mukwonago last night to face the Mukwonago/Kettle Moraine team. The varsity team scored 126.175 points, with Paige E. taking 2^nd place on floor and 1^st place all-around. Keira H. took 2^nd place all-around, and Makaila M. took 5^th place all-around. The JV team scored 99.725 points which is the highest JV score of the season. Brianna K. took 1^st place all-around for JV, and Alisha K. took 2^nd place all-around. Our OHS gymnasts beat the Mukwonago/Kettle Moraine team in combined score last night which is a huge accomplishment for the team.

HOCKEY: The KMMO Varsity team traveled to Hayward last weekend for a two-game series. They lost their Friday night game against Hayward 2-1, but won their Saturday game against Rice Lake 5-3. The Varsity team faced Whitefish Bay at Nagawuakee Ice Arena on Tuesday and finished with a 6-2 win.

SKI: The OHS Ski Team raced in a slalom competition at Heiliger Huegel on January 9. The boys varsity team finished 3^rd and the varsity girls team finished 5^th. The girls JV Purple team finished 1^st and the JV boys team finished 3^rd.
