At the June 9 OASD Special School Board meeting, school board members participated in a discussion around opening OASD school outdoor playgrounds and athletic fields for community use. The board approved the re-opening of District outdoor playgrounds and athletic fields for community use as of June 10. Community groups using or renting OASD outdoor spaces are asked to follow current state and local health department group size recommendations, and ensure social distancing is being done.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wisconsin public school districts are mandated to keep buildings closed until June 30. The OASD will follow guidelines from national, state, and local health department organizations to begin phasing the opening of District buildings throughout July and August.
