OASD Intermediate Schools will continue with the hybrid purple/gold learning strategy after Winter Break from Monday, January 4 through Friday, January 15. Oconomowoc High School will also continue with the hybrid purple/gold strategy during this time. Our elementary students will return to in-person learning at school in the same cohort learning model they have been using all school year. The District will share additional information with families about student learning the week of January 11.

This allows us the time to have at least three dashboard updates (January 5, 8, and 12) to get an idea of the impact of Christmas and New Year's gatherings on both our internal and community COVID-19 case numbers, similar to the approach taken with the Thanksgiving Break. Our goal continues to be to provide as much face-to-face time as possible while also maintaining some stability and consistency for our students and staff. Returning from the Winter Break with the same strategy until at least the end of the high school's Term 2 adds to that consistency.

  • December 19-January 3: All students off school for Winter Break
  • January 4-15: Learning face-to-face in the current cohort model at school
  • Week of January 11: Decision and communication of learning schedule strategy beginning on January 20
  • January 18 & 19: OASD Staff PD days & non-school days for ALL students
