Oconomowoc High School Announces Head Football Coach

OCONOMOWOC, WI- December 8, 2020. The Oconomowoc Area School District (OASD) and the Oconomowoc High School (OHS) Athletic Department are excited to announce that Sal Logue has accepted the OHS Head Football Coach position on a permanent basis. Coach Logue served as Interim Head Football Coach this year and Defensive Coordinator on the OHS Raccoon Football team for the last four seasons. He is currently a Health teacher on the OHS faculty. Logue and his wife are residents of Oconomowoc, and their children attend the Oconomowoc Area School District.

Logue has been a football coach for 17 years with stops at Menomonee Fall High School, Brookfield Central High School, Brookfield East High School, and Arrowhead Union High School. The OHS football team posted a 3-4 conference record and a 4-5 overall record during the 2020 football season. The team qualified for the abbreviated WIAA post-season tournament beating old arch-rival Watertown High School and then lost to Hartford Union HIgh School in the bracket final.

OHS Athletic Director Keven Flegner stated, "I believe Sal is the right person to lead this program. He works tirelessly year-round, is a great communicator, motivator, and has capsulated these young men's respect. He believes in an all-encompassing program that starts in our youth programs." Flegner added, "Coach Logue and his coaching staff have worked hard to build a football curriculum for all levels. He is ready for the challenge and has laid the foundation for success. Now it is up to all players, parents, alumni, and coaches to work together to build a championship football program."

Coach Logue added, "I am very excited and honored to be named the head coach of the Oconomowoc Football Program. I believe we have the right combination of people regarding players, coaches, parents, administrators, and community members to make our program the absolute best it can be."

OASD and OHS are thankful to Coach Logue for stepping up and leading the OHS football program! Now more than ever, OHS football players need to feel connected to the school community and need a leader who understands them as individuals and is familiar with the program. Coach Logue's football coaching experience, commitment to our program, sincere respect for our students make him the perfect person to lead our team.
