Superintendent Update for the week ending October 6, 2016

REMINDER:  There is no school on Friday, October 7.  School resumes on Monday, October 10.

TONIGHT-Thursday, Oct. 6: Our undefeated Varsity Football Team plays Wisconsin Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. at Rux Stadium.  The game is the Channel 24/Thursday Night Lights game of the week. Fans get FREE admission with a Food Pantry donation. Just prior to the game, Oconomowoc Post 91 American Legion Color Guard will present the colors, and all veterans in attendance will be recognized. Please join us for this special event.

October 6, the OHS Band Aids (Band Boosters) will hold a Chili Supper from 4:30-7:00 p.m. in the OHS Cafeteria. Click here to download the flyer. 

Dietzenbach Delegation-this weekend, a group of ten citizens from our Sister City in Germany will visit the City of Oconomowoc, and we will welcome them to Oconomowoc High School on Monday. The Sister City Partnership was established in 2008 to deepen friendship and further mutual interests between Oconomowoc and Dietzenbach.

Upcoming Referendum Information Nights:

  • Oconomowoc High School: Monday, October 17, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria
  • Meadow View Elementary: Wednesday, October 26, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Library

School Day Tours are scheduled.  No RSVP necessary. 
Anyone wishing to take a school tour will need to enter the school's main office and check in as a guest.

  • Ixonia Elementary, Monday, October 31 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
  • Meadow Elementary, Tuesday, November 1 from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
  • Oconomowoc High School, Wednesday, November 1:00-2:00 p.m.

SODEXO FOOD SERVICE HIRING:  Sodexo is currently looking to fill four positions in food service and substitute positions, or on call. Pay starts at $9.00/hour with opportunities for advancement and benefits are available. OHS Swim: On September 29, the Swim Team celebrated Parent Night, click for photos.

OHS Volleyball: On Tuesday, Oconomowoc hosted a conference match on October 4 against Beaver Dam and finished with another clean sweep at all levels. Conference record: 10-0, Overall record: 29-5.

Oconomowoc High School

A special thanks to all the downtown Oconomowoc businesses for supporting school pride during Homecoming Week. A group of OHS Robotics students along with their advisor Mr. Bob Blersch were seen on Monday evening after school helping with post-Homecoming window clean up.  Click here for a photo.
