For the 11th year in a row, Oconomowoc High School DECA students are leading the "Adopt-a-School" program. What started as a way to give back to others during the holidays, has grown to a yearly holiday gift-giving initiative. This year, the group added 100 more students, totally 434 children from George Washington Carver Academy that will receive gifts from students and staff at OHS.
DECA held their "adoption day" last Monday and Tuesday and all 434 student names were handed out. OHS students and staff then purchase needed items like hats, mittens, socks, and underwear for their student, along with books, games and toys. DECA students will wrap all of the gifts in early December and deliver them to Carver Academy on December 19.
