Formerly known as the Tommy Awards, the Jerry Awards recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater. The Jerry Awards began in 2009 as the Tommy Awards and were renamed before the 2017-18 season in honor of philanthropist and arts supporter W. Jerome Frautschi.
Superintendent Dr. Roger Rindo stated, “This is exciting news for the Performing Arts in Oconomowoc. Congratulations to all of our student and staff Jerry Award winners. These students stand on the shoulders of those who came before them and set such a high standard, and I know they will be followed by students who look forward to carrying on that tradition.”
Principal Mr. Jason Curtis added, “I am incredibly proud of all our students recognized for various Jerry Awards! Whether acknowledged individually or as an entire cast, this list of nominations is a testament to the incredibly hardworking parents, teachers and support staff who work with our talented performers. Oconomowoc High School has been, and will continue to be, a leader in the performing arts!”
Congratulations to all involved in our theater productions, and thanks to the community for supporting the arts at OASD!
