OHS Theater Director Tiersa Ferraro stated, "West Side Story was an absolute labor of love! --something that everyone on the directorial team had always wanted to do and had never done! We are so excited that the Jerry reviewers honored our work with nominations! As a team, we are interested in a 4-year rotation that includes a "classic," and West Side Story fits the bill for us. We continue to be grateful for a community that supports the OHS Players, students who bring their best to every audition and commit their talents every day during rehearsals, and an administration who is "all in" when it comes to encouraging our efforts." Ferraro added, "I couldn't be prouder of the OHS Players and everyone involved in this show. We hope to continue to see robust audiences for our next plays - Bottoms Up! (Senior Directed) and Around the World in 80 Days (Spring Play). Call the OAC box office at 262-560-3172 or visit http://www.oasd.org/OAC for tickets."
OHS Principal Jason Curtis went on to say, "This incredibly talented team worked hard to prepare and deliver an emotional, compelling, and beautiful production of West Side Story. The drive, commitment, and passion that our students and staff portrayed serve as a model for our entire school community. Congratulations to the OHS Players, Directors, and Crew for these well-deserved recognitions!"
Congratulations to all involved in our theater productions, and a special thanks to the Oconomowoc community for supporting the arts at OASD!
